‘World’s most inbred family’ teen wondered ‘which brother got sister pregnant’

A teenager in the "world's most inbred family" told a pal that she had no idea which brother got her sister pregnant.

Sick Tim Colt allegedly started a perverted "incest" farm near the Australian outback by orchestrating the rape of family members by siblings.

A current total of 38 members over four generations are thought to have engaged in sexual activity with at least one relative in a disgusting bush camp of tents and shacks.

Life at the incest farm was never the same after one of the girls' alarming conversations at school was re-told until the local authorities were put on alert.

In 2012 when the family was discovered, a dozen malnourished children were found with facial deformities, a shuffling gait and some unable to speak intelligible English.

It was only last year that sickening new details were revealed following the expiry of a 'gagging' order.

An investigation was launched and caseworkers and police were sent to the farm after one of the few school-going teenagers told a classmate: “My sister is pregnant and we don’t know which of my brothers is the father”.

Another confession which outlined the vile extent of the family came from a member known as Petra who told police in 2013 that "all my aunts, uncles and cousins have all been sleeping together".

The head of the family, Tim, had arrived in Australia from New Zealand with his wife June in the 1970s. They had five girls and two boys – Martha, Frank, Paula, Cherry, Rhonda, Betty, and Charlie.

Monster Tim is said to have begun to rape Betty when she was just 12. He is also thought to have fathered some of Betty's 13 children, as well as four of Rhonda's and one of his granddaughter Raylene's offspring.

Betty only found out that her mother was also a product of incest after tests to see if she was a kidney donor match for one of her granddaughters showed it up.

After the deaths of June in 2001 and Tim in 2009, Betty led the clan of almost 40, all engaging in incest.

Children only attended school when welfare visits occurred and from the 1990s onwards, the family regularly moved to avoid suspicion.

In 2018, officers began rounding them up. First brother and sister Martha and Charlie, who claim to have shared a martial bed and have children together, were arrested.

Of the original 80 charges originally levelled against eight Colts – including incest, child sexual abuse, indecency against a child and perjury – many were dropped.

Only half of the eight suspects have been thrown behind bars.
