    Vladimir Putin has warned there will be “irreversible consequences” for European countries giving up Russian energy resources, as Poland fears an attack from Moscow.

    In an address on Tuesday, Putin said giving up Russian oil will make energy prices in Europe the highest in the world for the long term.
