A politician has fallen victim to an X-rated prank when he tried to respond a viewer's question online.
Scottish Conservative Party leader Douglas Ross hosted his monthly livestream on Facebook to let members of the public ask him questions.
While trying to answer as many as questions as he could, the Tory MP unknowingly stepped into a trap that left other viewers in hysterics, reports the Daily Record.
He saw a comment written by a viewer named Mike Oxsmells and said: "So, Mike Oxsmells, 'Stop ignoring the tough questions'.
"I'm really not." When read aloud, the viewers "name" actually sounds like "my c*** smells".
The moment was caught by the eagle-eyed audience and many turned to the comments section calling it "comedy gold".
It was later shared onto Twitter with a caption: "Mike Oxmells asking cutting questions to Douglas Ross tonight."
Viewers were left in hysterics, as one said: "Had to say it out loud a few times, but I got there."
Another wrote: "It's childish, but I like it!"
But some of Mr Ross' supporters called the joke an "unnecessary abuse".
"Some of the comments are toxic and vile towards you," one commented. "Well done for remaining so professional."
A second addd: "Douglas, you are doing a fab job! Don't mind the trolls."
It comes after the Scottish Tories were humiliated this week when their vote of no confidence in first minister Nicola Sturgeon failed spectacularly.
The Scottish Conservatives were the only party to back mission to oust the First Minister.
