Tributes have poured in for a 17-year-old rider who died after a "big fall" at a motocross championship.
Jude Morris died while competing in the British Motocross Championship event on Saturday, August 28, which was held at Duns in the Scottish Borders.
The teenager, from Dorset, died after falling during the first MXY2 race, despite the best efforts of paramedics who rushed to the scene, the Daily Record reported.
No other riders were involved in the incident.
He has been described by Auto Cycle Union (ACU) as 'one of the leading youth riders' in the UK who was on track to be a future adult British Champion.
Race Director and Chairman of the ACU Motocross Committee, Steve McCauley said: "An incredibly sad day for everyone. Jude was always smiling and lived for competing in Motocross.
"An extremely talented young lad, he was one of the most dedicated and hard-working young riders I have ever had the pleasure to meet. At this very sad time our thoughts are with Jude’s parents Mark and Lucy and their family."
Tributes have now flooded in on social media for the 'future star' as people with competitors and pals left heartbroken by the news.
Fellow rider Simon Aky Atkinson said: "A good friend and competitor Jude Morris took a big fall today. I’m absolutely devastated to be saying this but he has not recovered from his injuries.
"Jude and his dad were a great team. I have admired their partnership for years now. The hard work they did and steps forward they took were amazing. RIP 101. We will always remember our racing time."
Sharing pictures of the late youngster, a media company added: "Yesterday British Moto lost a future star.
'My heart stopped working and a shadow led me out of my body – I saw myself lying dead'
"We were unsure whether to publish the pictures from yesterday, but considering Jude was the first one in the DMs with the ‘Did you get any bangers at the weekend mate?’, we thought it was only fitting – so here’s your bangers from the weekend mate, even the massive practice sender!
"Our thoughts are with Mark and the family at this incredibly tough time – Jude was never without a smile or a joke, full of talent, and always a pleasure to work with! He will be missed by not just those close, but the entire motocross community.
"Keep sending it Jude – that 101 will forever be in our minds and hearts."

His local practice track also paid tribute to the 'kind' teen, writing: "We are very saddened to hear that Jude Morris has passed whilst competing yesterday.
"He has been a regular at Rogershill since he was small and we enjoyed watching his riding progress into an amazing talent.
"He will be sorely missed round the paddock because he was so polite and kind to all. Our thoughts and love go to Jude's family and friends."
