Martha Hancock, wife of Matt Hancock, has put on a brave face as she stepped out of her home in north-west London hours after her husband was accused of an affair with an aide.

The married Health Secretary was captured locked in a steamy embrace with Gina Coladangelo in his Whitehall office.

On Friday afternoon Mrs Hancock, 44, was photographed leaving their home still wearing her wedding ring.

The osteopath, who spends her time between London and West Suffolk, met Hancock at Oxford University while they were both students.

They've been married for 15 years, having tied the knot in 2006, and have two sons and a daughter together.

Shocking CCTV images released early today appear to show Hancock's hand firmly gripped onto Coladangelo's bottom and his arms wrapped around her back.

Hancock hired the 43-year-old with taxpayer's cash last year as coronavirus swept the nation.

According to The Sun, a whistleblower has accused the Health Secretary of cheating on his wife of 15 years, Martha Hoyer Millar, as the UK continues to fight the Covid pandemic.

Hancock has since apologised for breaching social distancing guidelines.

A friend of the Health Secretary told The Mirror: “He has no comment on personal matters. No rules have been broken.”

A Whitehall source told The Sun Hancock's behaviour "in the middle of a pandemic with an adviser and friend he used public money to hire” is shocking.

In a statement Hancock apologised for his breach of social distancing.

He said: "I accept that I breached the social distancing guidance in these circumstances.

"I have let people down and am very sorry.

His apology has since been accepted by the Prime Minister who "considers the matter closed".

"I don't really have anything further to add.
