Boris Johnson reminded the SNP politician Scottish independence remains off the table as a referendum on the matter had already been held. Ian Blackford repeatedly attacked Brexit Britain’s efforts to strike a new trade agreement with Australia, warning of potentially damaging consequences for Scotland. Addressing the SNP leader at PMQs, Mr Johnson said: “If he is saying that he wants to go back into the EU, hand back control of our fisheries, hand back control of our agriculture to Brussels, lose all the opportunities this country has gained I think he’s frankly out of his mind.

“And going in totally the wrong direction.
